Sydney, Australia – The Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Forum, Australia (NINFA) is set to honor the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples with a grand celebration on the 10th of August, 2024. This year’s theme, “Protecting the rights of Indigenous People’s in Voluntary Isolation and Initial Contact,” reflects a commitment to the preservation and recognition of the most vulnerable indigenous groups.
Event Highlights:
Formal Program: The evening will commence with a formal program, graced by the presence of notable figures such as the NSW Premier Chris Minns, Minister, the Nepali Ambassador, and leaders from the Nepali community. A special segment will pay tribute to the Former NSW General Consulate and the Founder President of NINFA, acknowledging their contributions to the community.
Cultural Parade: A vibrant cultural parade will follow, featuring a procession of communities including Chhantyal Pariwar Australia, Guthi Australia, Kirant Khambu Rai Society NSW Australia, Kirant Yakthung Chumlung Australia, Magar Samaj Australia, Rajbanshi Samaaj Australia, Sherpa Association Of NSW, Tamang Society Of NSW, Tamu Samaj Sydney Australia, Thakali Sewa Samiti Australia, Tharu Society Sydney Australia and many others.
